Bikobakun Ngolá Prepares to Go to Ayê

There is a verse that tells about a character named Bikobakun ngolá, who was the son of the owner of all things.

Before coming to earth, he wanted to know how to have a good life on earth.

He was told that he should not be greedy, and that he should serve the elders, the wise men, the Agbalagba. He accepted and then went to the first sage, the one holder of knowledge, known as Okanran who is the first odu. Then Bikobakun ngolá went there and said to the first sage, "I want to work for you!", and the first sage replied that he had no money to pay him.

Bikobakun ngolá, in turn, said that this was of no importance and asked Okanran to teach him what he knows and that would be enough for him.
